The original Ping was painfully written in Perl.

Open Congress

I love the new OpenCongress.org site.

Finally, finding information about your congressperson is easy. To really get a feel for the depth of information this site provides, take a look at an individual congressperson’s page. My favorite section is the “Voting Trends Analysis” section which shows which fellow congressperson votes most and least similarly as well as the most similar member of the opposite party and least similar member of the same party. It speaks well for Barack Obama that he’s the one that votes most opposed to Trent Lott.

I’m not a gigantic politics nerd, but with a site this attractive and easy to use, I may just become one.

If the opposite of pro is con… is the opposite of progress, congress?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
