My First Craigslist Posting

I finally posted an item for sale on Craigslist. Sadly, despite having a small amount of humor, my ad did not draw any buyers after its first week (which means it’s expired and I’ll need to repost). I did have two bites, but despite the fact my ad said “local only,” one was from 37 miles away, the other from 60 miles away. *facepalm*

Have you had good luck selling on Craigslist? Any amusing anecdotes?

I’ve had success giving away free items. Selling things.. kind of, but often once the person shows up they try to bargain the price down.

I never offer delivery, though, so don’t worry about how local they are.

A little late here.

I’ve tried Craigslist as both a user and a seller. I’m in a rural area and the nearest town of size is 20 miles in either direction. While both these towns have newspapers, they are still so small that the “major” location for me is about an hour south.

So… things I’ve listed have no appeal to those folks and jobs I have looked for are too far from me.

Ciao,

Never used it, but fun to read some of the posts!

Laugh if you will, but I’ve gotten my last *three* jobs over Craigslist. This is including TPIR. Go figure.

What is this then?
