The Daily Ping

There were rumors of a Ping book, but those were started on the internet.

Pediatricians

Today we took our daughter to the pediatrician and brought with us some paperwork from my own peditrician from when I was a kid. Rasine’s doc took a look at it and her jaw dropped. “These were my doctors!” she exclaimed. Quite a coincidence since we’re several hundred miles from there.

Thinking back, I really liked my pediatricians growing up. There was only one that came into the practice that I didn’t care for. He was too rough, particularly when cleaning out my ears with that pointy metal thingie. All of the other docs were very friendly and I was never scared to go there. The other thing I remember about my doctor’s office is that their doors had very high doorknobs so kids wouldn’t run out. It was a big deal when I was tall enough to reach them.

Do you have fond memories of your childhood doctor?

I went to the hospital on base like any other military dependent. If you have to ask if I have fond memories you clearly have never been in a military hospital 🙂

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
