The AV Club Looks at TV Retooling

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, mostly because there are video clips. And video clips mean less reading!

It was mildly fascinating to jump through history here and learn how TV shows had modified themselves to keep the ratings dreams alive. But the biggest nugget of information: Saved by the Bell was based on a one season dud on the Disney Channel called Good Morning, Miss Bliss. Sure, sure, I could have found it in the comments section of the mother of all Pings but it seems like it was pretty darned obscure.

Good stuff, folks.

Oh, and the intro to Miss Bliss looks like a bad Sears clothing commercial from 1990. It’s so serious compared to STTB!

To Ryan: Paul didn’t know that before? Noob.

To Paul: Just kidding.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
