Yesterday, stomach cramps hit me out of nowhere (maybe I shouldn’t have eaten that two-week old brownie) and I couldn’t sit or lay in one position for more than 30 seconds. I looked online for some ways of dealing with the pain and one suggestion was yoga. The idea was that certain yoga poses stretch out your abdominal muscles, helping with the pains I was enduring.
So I tried both downward and upward dog and “rocking horse,” which may not be a real yoga pose, but it’s on Rasine’s toddler yoga DVD, and I’ll be damned if I wasn’t feeling 85% better instantly. 60 seconds doing yoga poses and then I was able to lay flat on the floor, still, and fall asleep. Freakin’ magical.
Yay for yoga!
