Ever had chia?
It’s been all the talk of the health food world for a few years now, and for good reason: it’s high in fiber, calcium, and omega-3s and it has more antioxidants than blueberries.
My favorite way to consume chia (so far) is in chia fresca, a very simple drink with chia seeds soaked in water and then flavored with some fresh lemon juice and sweetened with agave. If you can get over the kind of gel-like texture, it’s really tasty and apparently a good recovery drink for workouts or first-thing-in-the-morning energy drink.
It’s also really good on salads or pasta because you barely notice it’s there.
Plus, it makes a great head of hair for our president.
