The Daily Ping

Not a toilet in the country has not been affected by the Ping in one way or another.

Finally, I can monetize my photographs!

…but I don’t mean by selling them, no, no. I mean that I can publish them on the web and then make annoying-as-hell popovers selling people stuff!

This is really something, isn’t it? How far is it going to go? We’ve already got ads wallpapering videos (while we watch them and before,) there are interstitial ads on many news sites, and free apps for phones usually have tasteless ads here, there, or everywhere. I definitely understand the appeal of paying even a small amount of money to be rid of them.

Also, I’m going to make a call here: Facebook will use this janky, intrusive tech in order to sell stuff within 3 years. (“Want to buy the shirt Paul’s son is wearing? Click here!!!”)

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
