Thanks to Paul for reminding me of the wonderful Old Computers site, which kept me clicking through and looking at bulkly old “portable” computers as well as the ones I grew up using. Among the ones that were particularly interesting to me: the super-solid-looking Zorba, the wood-encased Northstar Horizon, and the ZEOS Pocket PC, one I remember lusting after briefly in the early 90s.
