This is heartwarming. A local cat owner, Georgia Lee Dvorak, passed away recently and, in her will, stipulated that any living pets be euthanized in a humane manner.
But Boots the Cat is going to be okay, folks! While Dvorak had no next of kin, the bank handling her estate made the decision to get Boots into a shelter. And given that Dvorak gave most of her $1.4 million dollar estate to animal-related charities, I suspect she would be okay with the decision.
