Uber Ice Cream

So, this is pretty great.

Tomorrow, Friday the 13th, car service Uber is providing on-demand ice cream. You open the app, you request ice cream, you pay for it, you get it. Boom.

This is the same deal they had at SXSW this year with barbecue – and it was fantastic. I was on a sidewalk outside the convention center. I wanted some barbecue. I requested it via the app and about 3 minutes later, I had a sandwich, chips, and a drink. Pretty amazing.

It’s fun stuff, for sure, but it also shows what else Uber could do if they wanted to… which is something to really be excited about. (Also, this is totally a first-world rich person problem.)
