An Ode to Steel Wool Pads

By far, one of the handiest things that has graced my kitchen is the common everyday steel wool pad.

When I’ve had stubborn coffee rings and stains on my stovetop, the SOS pads have laughed at them. When there have been strange, hard-to-describe spots on the sink and countertop, the pads’ blitzkrieg cleaned things up. Their handiness in the bathroom almost goes without saying. Is there anything that steel wool pads can’t do?

While a regular liquid cleaner or Comet will always have a place in my cleaning caddy, there’s a reason SOS gets to ride shotgun every time. -pm
