Reading Room Material

To continue the recent theme, I ask you: what is the reading material in your reading room right now? (And by reading room, of course, I mean the one with the porcelain recliner…) Is it Reader’s Digests from five years ago? A recent book? Victoria’s Secret catalogs? A printout of the Bayside Dances Ping?

This toilet fetish is REALLY starting to scare me...

No reading material for me. In the throne room it's all business.

I generally take in a February 1991 copy of Spin magazine that I found in a thrift store. It is great. ZZ Top is on the cover, while other features include interviews with Andrew Dice Clay, Captain Beefheart, and AC/DC, as well as articles on "The Five Percent Nation" and Milli Vanilli's Lip-Synching.

Let's see here... all of DJ Binge's crap (various copies of mail order mags for turntables, XLR8R, Vice, etc...), Wired, MIT's Tech Review, Business Week, and, my new favorite, one copy of Playboy's College Girls issue.

Nothin' beats a good spank rag when you're on the can.

Wow! Guys actually spank the monkey while on the can? The stuff I learn here....

Tina -- Well, what ELSE is there to do?

Note to self: don't let Robert or Rob use bathroom when visiting...

Don't ignore my previous post. It's all business on the throne. Monkey discipline would be interference.

my dog-eared hardback copy of "me talk pretty one day."

Lessee, it changes week to week, so...

* old copies of Mad (namely the first three issues or so, plus a couple
from the 70s and 80s)

* "The Knowledge Web" by James Burke (the guy who did that
"Connections" show on TLC a couple of years ago)

* A nearly fallen-apart copy of the Encyclopedia of TV Game Shows
(2nd Edition)

* "The Complete Sherlock Holmes" (just b'cause).

* An old Johnson-Smith catalog (you know, "Things you never knew
exsisted..."...I keep meaning to order something one of these
days)

* And, if I'm feeling particularly jaunty, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to
the Galaxy"

Gee, it seems like all my reading these days is spent on the can... ;)

Wow -- that one's a great idea (I have the 3rd edition). Lots of good reading in small, bite-sized portions... perfect for bathroom reading.

Does anyone actually keep one of those Uncle John's Bathroom Books or The Bathroom Reader near their loo?

My dad does -- I bought it for him for a gift many years ago...

I usually read some sort of material while i am in the bathroom just to pass the time. I really enjoy reading some of them girly magazines. They have some interesting things in there! Did u know once a month they have this thing called a period. I dont know who they think they are putting that kind of stuff in there. My mom told me never to read them and now that i live across the street ive gone Buck Wild! Pretty interesting stuff if you ask me.
