Time Changes

Last night was the end of Daylight Savings Time, as we march boldly into the normalcy of Standard Time. How has it affected you?

While I don’t enjoy either time change very much, the switch from Daylight to Standard is better. It’s always earlier than you think, and that’s pretty much okay with me… until a few months from now, when it’s dark at a quarter to five.

But anything that gives me an extra hour of sleep is okay with me. -pm

It's easier to reset the clocks when you're springing forward, though.

It sucks hard. Now, I'm going to work and returning to work in the dark. I could move up to Iceland if I wanted that.

At work yesterday, at 5:15pm it was like a ghost town and it was so dark out that it felt like 8. I don't mind it all that much, it's just a weird transition... leave home and catch a few minutes of sunlight on the way to the car, return home in total darkness. These are the days I'm glad I have a window office -- in the early days here, I was stuck in a closet and damn that was depressing not seeing light all day long and leaving in the dark...

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
