Big Cartoon Database

Today I came across one of those sites you wonder how you’ve missed for all this time: the Big Cartoon Database.

Cartoons… lots of cartoons. ResearchBuzz pointed out Laverne and Shirley in the Army… huh? How about the Three Robonic Stooges? Or, good God, The Mork and Mindy – Laverne and Shirley with the Fonz Show (as an aside, I saw an episode of Mork and Mindy the other day with Mork, Laverne, and the Fonz in the Cunningham’s house… astoundingly confusing).

In any event, if there’s any cartoon from your childhood that you thought obscure, there’s no doubt that it’s somewhere among the thousands and thosands of listings. Think of it as an episode guide for cartoons.

I just was thinking about that awful cartoon "Fantastic Max" that I watched on Sunday mornings many years ago. It's in the database!

Remember "Dungeons and Dragons"? Okay, it was a mid-eighties cartoon. But look at the vocal talent. Talk about a motley crew.

Vocal Talent:
Willie Aames (Hank)
Adam Rich (Presto)
Donny Most (Eric)

Wow!!

I remember the "D&D" cartoon because this older kid in my neighborhood told me that the more I watched it the more I would "believe in the devil." At four years, I was easily scared like that.

Funny thing is: now I love the devil on my own terms!

You know, I remember watching the Three Robotic Stooges as a kid. What a strange, strange thing.

How DARE you say Fantastic Max sucked! I loved that as a kid! However, my friends don't believe it existed and all thought I was a crazed loon when I started talkin about the one where he coloured in that other planet. I'd love to prove to them that it existed, but I don't have the video's anymore. Does anyone have any pictures of the giant crayons colouring in the planet that they could send me, or can anyone tell me where I might find them? Thank you so much ###
