Brilliant Idea: A Waterslide for Glasses

If you have glasses and visit water parks with any regularity, chances are you’ve made the mistake of wearing your glasses on the park’s largest slide, only to lose them upon hitting the water. I’m happy to say that I’ve come up with a simple, elegant solution: a separate water slide for the glasses.

Imagine at the top of the water slide, you hand your glasses to the employee before you climb in. He puts them in a hard shell case and slips them into a small tube that is connected directly to the large tube you’ll be travelling down. As you slide down, your glasses are right alongside you, sliding down their own tube. You fly out the bottom, splashing into the water below, comfortable knowing that your glasses are safe, waiting for you in a dispenser at the bottom of the small tube.

Water parks: feel free to integrate my brilliant idea into your next giant waterslide. All I ask is for one year’s pass. Thanks.

This reminds me a bit of the escalators at IKEA: they have one for people and one for carts. The carts travel "with" you.

The glass-slide could be a 'ride' in and of itself. Maybe your glasses could be routed to pass over you at some point - "Hey, those look like mine!", etc.

How about some cushiony goggles to wear over your glasses? So you can see just what's going on.

For the life of me, I cant remember where it was, but YEARS ago, I went to a waterpark where they had the bank teller-like vaccum tube where they would take your glasses, put em in different colored cases (remember, get to the bottom and get the PURPLE case), and the glasses would meet you at the bottom, completely dry.

Hopefully no one reads this, and you get that years pass. (Hook a brutha up!)

As soon as I hit SUBMIT, I remembered: Canada's Wonderland, outside of Toronto. One of the old water slides (which I dont even know if the slide is still there), had this feature.

It just shows I have ideas that are ahead of their time a little after everyone else.

What is this then?
