Throw dem phones

Now here’s an event we can all get behind: The Mobile Phone Throwing World Championship in Savonlinna, Finland. There are two categories: freestyle and original. There’s a separate competition for juniors (do they give them smaller phones to throw?). This year’s event is in late August and the results of last year’s are posted online. A new world record of over 66 meters was set last year. If you think you’d like to participate, be sure to read the rules first.

Very unusual grading system (on a scale of 4 out of 10?), but still a great idea.

I'm a little worried at the line of the rules that says:

"the competitor that pleases the jury the most will win."

I don't think I'd want to do play-by-play of this competition. ;)
