Weekends can be great for sleeping in, especially after a week’s worth of getting up early for work. Granted, some people are morning people and could never stay in bed for ten straight hours, but some of us can sleep just as long as we did in college.
Today’s question is: what’s the longest amount of time you’ve slept in one stretch? This doesn’t include being sick, since that can artificially inflate your ability to sleep long periods. I know in college that 12 straight hours was not unusual, and that I may have even gotten up to 14 hours depending on how late I was up the night before. I recall occasionally waking up shortly before dinner on some Saturdays. Since graduating, though, I don’t think I’ve topped ten or eleven.
