Another Browser Feature Idea

The most frustrating thing any of us can do when surfing the web is close a window with form data by accident, losing all of the data entered. I’ll give a gold star to the first browser that 1.) displays a warning if you try and close a window with information that you’ve added to a form and 2.) periodically saves the thusfar-entered form data so that if you close the tab and “undo” the close or if your browser crashes, you get your data back when you reopen the window or restart the browser.

I’m sure Paul and I have lost at least a few Pings-in-the-works this way over the years.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
