Stuck on a Toilet Seat

I’ve been to Council Bluffs, Iowa. And now I don’t want to go back, thanks to this story about a woman who got stuck to a toilet seat.

What’s worse is that she suffered burns from the incident (whose details I won’t spoil here). That… would hurt.

Being stuck on a toilet seat is definitely low-ranking on my list of things I want to do in my life… just below “returning to Council Bluffs, Iowa”, methinks.

That reminds me of something really funny. I don't think it worked, but my besst friends older brother put super glue on the toilet seats last year. I swear none of us lives anywhere near Iowa.

I have spent a night in Council Bluffs, Iowa and I can confirm that it is indeed the craphole of the universe.

Some 7.5 years ago (wow), I made three-day drive from Portland, OR to Urbana, IL. I started the second day in Snowville, UT and blasted through Wyoming and Nebraska, and was itching to make it to a state which started with an "I" by the end of the day. Some time after midnight I rolled into Council Bluffs, although I never saw the 'Welcome to Iowa' sign so I asked the motel clerk what city I was in. He said, "You're in Council Bluffs, Iowa!". All I remember was .. pure sleeze. Lots of neon, lots of bars, and old skanky strippers walking on the main drag.

I made the same trip again some 6 months later but compressed it to 2 days .. spent the night in my little car in a rest stop somewhere in central Nebraska, which is better than Council Bluffs. I still think about that city whenever I hear the Metallica song Turn the Page ... "On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha ..." I just sold the car I made those trips in a couple months ago .. some 225,000 miles, 160,000 of them on my watch.

What is this then?
