Partridge Family 2200 AD

I’d like to propose that after this Ping about Partridge Family 2200 AD that we never speak of it again.

The whole idea of the show is classic 70s junk: the Partridge Family is the same, except older and in the year 2200. It was originally to be an Elroy-as-a-teen Jetsons sequel (much like Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm) but, you know, that idea was pretty lousy too. The intro makes the Elroy revival obvious:

I did notice something peculiar on that fan site linked above though. Check out this shot of the Partridges’ kitchen. Notice anything familiar? Yeah, I did a double-take on that image too; it looks weird without a Simpson in sight.

Did anyone have the fortune of seeing this show in its, uh, heyday? If so I apologize in advance.

I can honestly say I had no clue this ever existed. Wow. Could it have any more Jetsons cliches?

Yes, I have seen a few episodes of this toon. I think you have every right to dish this dreadful thing. You are dead on about this being a vehicle originally for an adult Elroy. This was done by the Hanna Barbara team, and I really wonder who’s idea it was to do this, as it was released in 1974, the year the Partridge Family went off the air, and there simply wasn’t any more demand for the “Family”. By this time, the tv series had run its’ course. There were very few of the cartoon produced…maybe 18 or so. It WAS pretty lame….

What is this then?
