The Daily Ping

There were rumors of a Ping book, but those were started on the internet.

Haiku Reviews

Over six years ago, a few friends and I were discussing an idea for a new collaborative site that we were going to launch. The idea was to have music reviews written in a the shortest manner possible, while still being able to convey information about the album. The site that was born from those discussions was ADDreviews, music reviews in 20 words or less.

Before we settled on the “20 words or less” concept, though, we kicked around the idea of doing “Haiku Reviews” where every music review was written in 17-syllable haiku style. But we decided we were too lazy for that, so we junked the idea.

Fortunately, someone else had a similar idea and is running with it: Reviews in Haiku. It’s beauty can be seen in the following haiku about RC Cola:

Distant third. So what?
Not to sweet, good aftertaste.
Always cheaper, too!

If you were to write a haiku about the Ping, what would it be?

Blogging newbie, me.
Takes me two months to find this.
Thanks for the shout-out!

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
