Expensive Can

The Ping wholeheartedly endorses the new Kohler Numi, a $6000+ toilet that takes care of just about everything:

It does everything but wipe you.

A lid that opens automatically as you approach? Check.

Pulsating /oscillating bidet with integrated air dryer? Naturally.

Adjustable-height, heated seat? But of course.

Charcoal-filter deodorizer? Must you even ask?

What’s also great about it is that you can put it in the middle of your stylishly appointed living area, and no one will know it’s a toilet. Boy will they be surprised when you cop a squat in the middle of a dinner party. “Don’t worry! It flushes!”

Oh man. I don’t know what the best feature is! They’re all great!

You neglected to mention that it has a feet warmer in addition to the seat warmer – and, AND, an aux jack for your MP3 player. Really.

Clearly we need several for our living rooms.

Those photos are HILARIOUS.

“Yeah, when I’m dropping a deuce, I want my toilet right in front of a floor to ceiling window overlooking the Hollywood Hills. Great idea!”

Would a standard plumber be able to fix this toilet or would you have to get someone from NASA?

But it doesn’t do everything. Bruce Sterling, author of “Tomorrow Now” said that toilets should be able to analyze our health.

Wouldn’t that be great? Take a deuce… oops, get to the doctor, you have a liver disorder.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
