The mesmerizing sky

What do you take when you point a camera at the San Francisco sky and take a picture every ten seconds for a year? And then you take the resulting time-lapse video and line them all up side-by-side and watch them at the same time? This seriously engaging video:

It’s pretty fascinating to notice where each season starts and finishes, how the amount of daylight gradually extends or shortens each day, but also during the midday portion of the video where you can notice weather trends (“Ooh, they had a nice week of sunshine there…”).

Beautiful, creative, nerdy stuff.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
