Pictionary Galleries

A couple of Pingers and I were discussing last night about how out of every game of Pictionary, a couple of particularly good drawings always stood out. We then mused that there must be a central repository for Pictionary drawings online. While I couldn’t find one main place for them, I did find a few smaller ones scattered about the web: Pictionary DrawingsOther pictionary pictures… and they even like Pictionary in Japan.

It seems like I never play Pictionary with people who can draw. Granted, I'm not a great artist myself, but at least when I draw, people can tell if I'm drawing a building or a person.

There's nothing worse than trying to figure out what they are drawing, and guessing:

"COW?"
"CAR?"
"WALRUS?"
"LEMON?"
"WHAT THE....????"

That's why I played in a poker tourney in New Years. If you mess up, it's your own fault.

Happy New Year! Don't get drunk.

Last time I played pictionary was at the Hospital as my Mother-in-Law was on her death bed -- we needed something to lighten the mood a bit...

Anyhow, we were given a conference room in which to congregate -- it just happened to be filled with medical journals and industry related publication. To make a long story short, you can imagine the drawings on the whiteboard that were used to describe "Erectile Disfunction".

Dave --

It seems like I never play Pictionary with people who can draw.

I think it has less to do with artistic talent than it does with logical thinking and the ability to communicate simple ideas quickly. Sometimes the most artistic people will spend too much time getting their drawings to look "right" rather than letting simple shapes and familiar scribblings to suffice.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
