One of the great things about the web is that it can kick off giant fits of nostalgia. It’s indulgent, sure, but I love that about the web.
Last week I was perusing a forum I frequent and noticed a post about old idents. Idents, in this case, are the station or production houses behind TV shows and movies. And seeing the old ones brought back a ton of memories. Have a look:
- Nickelodeon ident from the early days
- ITC Entertainment – they did The Muppet Show
- USA Network
- WNEW-TV – cheesy music
- WOR-TV – aka, “The Nine Will Kill Us All”
