A Curious Company

Forbes released its list of the 100 most promising companies in America. I found #93 pretty interesting: it’s a company called Performance Enhancing Meat Snacks.

Founded in 2007, the company makes a variety of packaged meat snacks, including a caffeinated [sic] beef jerky called Perky Jerky. Sells through Target, 7-11, Home Depot, GNC and Best Buy. Levin started the world’s first text-messaging voting system, used on American Idol, and solid it for $15 million in 2004. Two years later he launched Useful Networks, which created local-advertising and friend-finding software, and sold it to Liberty Media for an undisclosed sum.

Perky Jerky.

Caffeinated beef jerky.

That is all.
